http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11369302/seoul.pdf - Newspaper Article with me from 1991, shortly after returning from my epic trip overseas to South Korea. Pulling out jives and jamboree handouts. Two turntables and a microphone. Bottles and cans and just clap your hands and just clap your hands
Time keeps on slippin' slippin' slippin' into the future.
David Lynch - one of the most important creative minds of this century - has this listed on his twitter feed. As if this is the most important part of his being. It is. I know it is for me as well. Everything branches from our experiences leading up to that rank. Its not a bullshit rank, its a lot of classwork and actual doing things to learn them. I can do anything because I did the work needed to earn the rank of Eagle Scout.
I earned the rank of Eagle Scout just before my 18th birthday. When you are seventeen and a half, organizing a public service project is the last thing on your mind. I don't know how I did it. I organized a tree planting day and met with the city forester, got funding, got approval on tree species and sources, organized workers to dig holes and plant the trees. Our trees were about 3 meters tall already when we planted them and the root ball was about a meter across. We planted them strategically to prevent further erosion in one section of the stream in Sapling Grove park (then Comanche park.)
My buddy built birdhouses for wood ducks. Cool houses that can allow the ducks to live in the area longer.
Feed the Babies who don't have enough to eat.
Shoe the children - with no shoes on their feet
House the people - livin' in the street.
There's a solution.
Fly through the revolution
