Emerald City is where I live. It is a community that is under construction in a spiritual sense. People of like and different mind are coming together to share and make the place better. I have sculptures that I am working on (so far... only in my head) for Emerald City as there is a sculpture garden there. We have a lot of artists, dancers, musicians, poets, photographers, multimedia shows and education about our world is at the core. None of us learned what we need to know and it seems that we have to catch up fast before things collapse around us and availability of the things we need will become even worse.

A solar panel on top collects solar energy and it is stored in a battery during the day. At night, the battery lights a small LED. We are decorating these jars and making them into a symbolic centerpiece behind our main meanings. Community because we are making these things together. Some of us are painting, some of us are pulling our hair out trying to find cheaper components, but in the process learning more about energy conversion, storage and what really was the point, to teach and learn about sustainability.
In music, when something is sustained, it is held onto for a long time. Sustained is when something is held on to for a long time. (sustainable means keepable)
